Mystic — Margaret “Peggy” Reilly of Mystic, formerly of New Fairfield, passed away peacefully on June 14, 2014. She was the wife of John Patrick Reilly.

She was born to Patrick and Catherine (Kennedy) Quirke in Glencar, County Kerry, Ireland, on Nov. 11, 1926.

John and Peggy married and raised their family in New York City (St. Nicholas of Tolentine Parish) for 25 years before moving to New Fairfield (St. Edward the Confessor Church), where they lived for 30 years before retiring to Mystic (St. Mary Church), 10 years ago. This August would have been their 60th wedding anniversar­y.

Peggy’s entire life was centered on devotion to her faith and adoration of her family.

She is survived by her five children and their families, John and his wife, Ellen (Monroe), Brian and his wife, Susan (New Milford), Kathleen and her husband, Todd Cormier (Westport, Mass.), Margaret and her husband, Frank Thompson (Ledyard), Patrick and his wife, Susan (Guilford). She was a loving grandmothe­r to Colleen, Sarah, Brian, Sean, Brendan, Bridget, Connor, Erik, Caroline and Grace, and step-grandmothe­r to Dena, Keri, Jodi, Emily and William. Peggy was also sister-in-law and loving aunt to a large extended family.

Margaret was predecease­d by all of her brothers and sisters, Martin, Mary (Foley), Hannah, John, Bridget, Paddy, Norah, Morris, Kathleen (McGillycud­dy) and Timothy.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 18, at St. Peter Church, 104 Main St., Danbury. Interment will be at the convenienc­e of the family. The family will receive family and friends from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury.
