She drove through the parking lot, into the Crystal Mall’s parking lot, onto Route 85 and then onto Interstate 95 north at speeds estimated to be more than 100 mph.

Police said they did not pursue the car because it was a property crime and because there was an unsecured child in the car.

The suspect is believed to be from the New Haven/West Haven area, as a second suspect was caught and arrested at the scene.

Latreviette Daniels, 41, of New Haven was charged with sixth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny.
