Elizabeth Carroll

Westerly — Elizabeth W. (Goff ) Carroll, 92, a lifelong resident of Westerly, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 25, 2015, at the Westerly Health Center.

Mrs. Carroll was born in Westerly on March 5, 1923, the daughter of the late William W. and Sarah (Sheffield) Goff.

She was predeceased by her husband, Edgar Carroll in 2006; and her son, Robert Edgar Carroll in 2011. She was also predeceased by her brothers, Robert W. Goff and Edgar S. Goff.

She is survived by her daughter, Diane C. Bullock, wife of Joseph, of Stonington; and grandchildren David J. Bullock of Colchester and Karen C. Pruneda and husband Felipe Pruneda Senties of Arkansas. She had many nieces and nephews.

Betty attended Westerly schools and then graduated from Northfield Mount Hermon School and Katharine Gibbs School. For many years she worked at Washington Trust as a teller. She was a lifelong member of Christ Church, and was a member of the Westerly Public Library, the Westerly Historical Society and the Senior Songbirds. Betty enjoyed sewing, home decorating and loved entertaining friends and traveling with her husband.

A memorial service will take place at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 15, at Christ Church, 7 Elm St., Westerly. Burial will be at a later date.

Funeral services are under the direction of Rushlow-Iacoi Funeral Home & Crematory, 64 Friendship St., Westerly.
