Waterford — Barbara L. Dahm, 79, of Waterford passed away Saturday, Jan. 16, 2016, at Greentree Manor in Waterford.

She was born Dec. 13, 1936, in New London, the daughter of the late Leo and Mary (Ficarra) Henault Sr.

Barbara was the loving wife to Nicholas J. Dahm Sr. for over 60 years.

In addition to being homemaker to her family, she enjoyed her time as a bookkeeper for the former Waterford Pharmacy and then later on working at the Bingo Hall for Foxwoods Casino.

She loved the beach and the ocean and loved to be busy, spending her free time knitting, crocheting, gardening, reading and enjoying time with family and friends.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughters, Lisa Dahm and Chauncey, Toni Jean Dahm and Robert; daughter in-law, Susan Dahm; and son, David Dahm and Heidi. She also will be sadly missed by her six grandchild­ren, Carissa, Caitlin, Benjamin, Sarah, William and Amanda; and two great-grandchild­ren, Lily and Kaleb, who always will be affectiona­tely known as “the baby” whenever she talked about him. She also is survived by her brothers, Leo Henault Jr. and Patricia, and George Henault and Donna; as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was predecease­d by a son, Nicholas J. Dahm Jr., and a niece, Tracey (Henault) Kleinpell.

The family would like to thank Greentree Manor and Southeaste­rn Connecticu­t VNA for the wonderful care she was given.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 22, 2016, at Thomas L. Neilan & Sons Funeral Home, 12 Ocean Ave., New London.
