Upon arrival, officers located a man on the fourth floor of the C building at 40 Crystal Ave. who had “several injuries” that likely came from a cutting instrument, police said.

FOUR CHARGED WITH ASSAULT AFTER FIGHT IN NORWICH RESIDENCE

Norwich — Police on Wednesday evening arrested four local residents after they allegedly seriously injured another resident in a Town Street apartment, police said.

Sgt. Tim Rykowski said officers responded about 7:30 p.m. to 15 Town St. after a caller reported that he or she believed a man was being killed inside the residence. The caller said guns possibly were involved, Rykowski said.

Rykowski said when officers arrived, they found a large fight inside Apt. 2 of the building, but no guns.

According to Rykowski, the four men who’d later be arrested had ganged up on one victim inside the apartment, causing him injuries that were serious but not life-threatening.

Brian Mondesire, 40, of 59 Providence St.; Rohan Hanson, 19, of 483 Boswell Ave., Apt. 2; Tyquan King, 29, of 10 Central Ave., and Kevin Dickson, 19, of 320 Central Ave., Apt. 1, were charged with first-degree assault and disorderly conduct.

Dickson additionally was charged with first-degree robbery and sixth-degree larceny. Rykowski said those charges were brought because Dickson allegedly had the victim’s cellphone on his person when police arrested him.

All four men remained in custody and were due in Norwich Superior Court on Thursday, Rykowski said.

He said the incident remains under investigation and further arrests are likely.
