East Lyme — William Peter Reilly, 86, of East Lyme, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2016, in Waterford.

Bill was born on June 8, 1930, in Passaic, N.J., the son of Leo and Rosalie (O’Connor) Reilly. He was married to Irene “Mickey” (McNeil) Reilly on June 13. 1953, and enjoyed more than 63 years of marriage.

Bill was a graduate of the Coast Guard Academy, Class on 1953. At the Academy, Bill was an outstandin­g athlete, earning eight varsity letters (four each in football and basketball), and was the quarterbac­k of the undefeated 1951 football team. In 2003, Bill was inducted into the Coast Guard Academy Athletic Hall of Fame.

Following graduation, Bill served five years active duty in the Coast Guard, and then was employed by Electric Boat for 35 years, performing various engineerin­g services for testing on nuclear-powered submarines.

In addition to his wife, Bill is survived by his children, Terrence J. Reilly and wife, Jane, Shawn Williams and husband, Walter, Bridget Lutenski and husband, Timothy, Timothy F. Reilly and Patrick B. Reilly; as well as five grandchild­ren.

Memorial donations in Bill’s name may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 5, at the Flanders Baptist Church.

Uncasville — Lucia “Lucy” Fasolino Montorsi, 95, of 41 Spring Garden Ave., Norwich, passed away peacefully on Sept. 30, 2016, at Orchard Grove Specialty Care Center in Uncasville.

Born in San Giovanni Province, Frisione, Italy on March 14, 1921, she was the daughter of Maria Dolce and Domenico Fasolino.

She was united in marriage to Cleto Montorsi, who predecease­d her, at St. Paul’s Basilica in Rome, Italy. After Mass she had an audience with Pope John Pius XII at St. Peter’s.

She is survived by her two children, her son, Arturo Montorsi and his wife, Carol; and her daughter, Linda LaLima; her grandchild­ren, Vanessa and Tami, Nicholas, Anthony and Kristin; and her sister, Stella and husband, Robert Smigiel. She was predecease­d by her brothers, Americo (Chic) and Dominic; and sister-in-law, Eleanor Fasolino. She leaves behind Angelo and Romana Montorsi of Italy; many nieces and nephews here in the U. S. and in Rome; and special friends who were like sisters, cousins Rita Notoranton­io and Beatrice Colonni, Faye Pillari, Matilda Tanzi and Olga Cirillo.

She worked 72 years out of her 95 years. She started at Central Shoe and Werman Shoe. She retired from John Meyers of Norwich and worked 20 years at the Norwich Free Academy Cafeteria.

Lucy’s 10-course meals, homemade raviolis and tortellini will always be missed.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 4, at Sts. Peter and Paul Church, 181 Elizabeth St., Norwich. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.

Woyasz and Son Funeral Service is handling the arrangemen­ts.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to The New Hospice House, Dunham Street, Norwich.

Lucy’s family, especially son Art, would like to thank the staff at Orchard Grove for their wonderful care and kindness.
