BLACK WOLVES PARTNER WITH SHOOTOUT FOR SOLDIERS
The New England Black Wolves will partner with Shootout for Soldiers — a 24hour lacrosse game to benefit the nation's veterans — to host Military Appreciation Day on Feb. 19 at 1 p.m. when the Wolves face off against the Buffalo Bandits at Mohegan Sun Arena.
"The Black Wolves are proud to host Military Appreciation Day," Amber Cox, vice president of the Connecticut Sun and New England Black Wolves, said in a released statement. "Partnering with Shootout for Soldiers gives us a wonderful opportunity to recognize the sacrifices our veterans have made and raise awareness among our incredible Black Wolves fan base.”
For every Military Appreciation Day ticket sold, the Black Wolves will donate a ticket to a veteran. Tickets are priced at $13. In addition to the ticket promotion, the team will host a post-game clinic for participants of Shootout for Soldiers Boston with Black Wolves' players.
"We're honored to work with a first class organization in the New England Black Wolves," Shootout for Soldiers founder Tyler Steinhardt said. "We hope that this Military Appreciation Game will raise funds for our nation's veterans, bring attention to veterans issues and provide an opportunity for the lacrosse community to get involved in meaningful work that gives back to those who have given so much for our country."
