Irene Corn

Stonington — On Thursday, Feb. 23, 2017, Irene Christine (Geyer) Mathewson Corn passed away.

Irene was born in Mystic, May 5, 1928, to Albert E. and Rosalie (Feld) Geyer. She was a beautiful wife, mother and grandmother who was patient, kind and loving, and will be greatly missed.

She was predeceased by her parents; her first husband, Francis Robert Mathewson; and her daughter, Donna (Mathewson) Shannon.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Corn Sr. of Stonington; her daughter, Sandra (Mathewson) Bock of Denver, Colo.; her daughter, Vickie (Mathewson) Bozsum of Oakdale; her son, Robert Mathewson of Norwich; her daughter, Terri (Corn) Crowley of Pawcatuck; her son, Charles Corn Jr. of Stonington; her son, Kevin Corn of Pawcatuck; 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
