Man wounded from gunfire at barbershop

Stamford (AP) — Stamford police say a man was critically injured when a gunman opened fire at a city barbershop.

Authoritie­s responded to the Two Brothers Barber Shop at around 1 a.m. Sunday. Witnesses said the victim was inside the barbershop when a suspect fired several shots through a window.

Officials say the man is in critical condition at Yale New Haven Hospital. Police told The Advocate newspaper that witnesses have been interviewe­d and investigat­ors were checking if there was surveillan­ce camera footage of the shooting. The suspect hasn't been identified.
