Kenneth Ferace

Sarasota, Fla. — Kenneth Joseph Ferace, 47, of Sarasota, Fla., went to his final reward comfortably in the presence of family and friends on Aug 25, 2017, at Tidewell Hospice House in Sarasota.

Ken was born in New London to Richard and Joyce Ganey Ferace on April 24, 1970. He was a 1988 graduate of St. Bernard High School in Montville and attended Mitchell College and Southern Connecticut State University.

Ken was passionate about the restaurant and hospitality industry. He was an operating partner in a number of restaurants from Boston, Mass., to Greenville, S.C., ending up as a restaurant general manager and consultant in Sarasota. He loved to be on or in the water, whether it was swimming, surfing or paddle boarding, but his greatest joy was spending time with his children.

Ken is survived by his parents; his brother, Christopher (Nancy) Ferace of Norwich; his children, Ryan (17) and Kasey Grace (14), and ex-wife and friend, Tera Lanier, all of Sarasota. Ken was dearly loved by so many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss him dearly.

A funeral service and Celebration of Life will be held in Sarasota, Fla., as well as a memorial service in New London. Both will be determined at a later date.
