Stonington — Eleanor M. (Reilly) Perry, 89, of Stonington, wife of the late Andrew W. Perry II, passed away Friday, Oct. 13, 2017, at the Westerly Hospital.

Born in North Dighton, Mass., she was the daughter of the late John and Mabel (Westgate) Reilly, and was a lifelong resident of Stonington.

Eleanor attended Quincy City Hospital of Nursing earning her nursing degree in 1949. She began her career at the Westerly Hospital as well as being a private duty nurse for several years. Eleanor also served as camp nurse for nine years at Camp Wightman in North Stonington. Following her nursing career, she was a Nursery School teacher at the Doris D. Muller Nursery School at the Stonington Community Center for 40 years, until her retirement.

Eleanor served as office manager for many years for the family business, Stonington Lumber Company, Inc.

She was an active and faithful member of the United Church of Stonington, serving on various boards and committees, and a 40-year member of the choir.

Eleanor also served as treasurer for the MAEC CROP Walk for over thirty years.

Eleanor was also a past matron for The Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #54, and grand marshal for the State of Connecticu­t. As a young girl she was a member of the Order of Rainbow for Girls, and as an adult served on the advisory board for the Order of Rainbow for Girls for Pawcatuck Assembly #41.

She is survived by her four children, Andrew W. Perry III and his wife, Brenda, of Pawcatuck, Eleanor Boeckerman­n and her husband, David, of Deerwood, Minn., Barbara Perry of Stonington, and Nancy Saballa and her husband, Emmanuel, of North Kingstown, R.I.; five beloved grandchild­ren, David Boeckerman­n, Stephanie Perry, Christine Perry-Runion and her husband, Seth, Jason Dolce and his wife, Bree, and Kenneth Dolce and his wife, Jessika; and seven great-grandchild­ren, Emily, Vincent, Natalie, Andrew, Jackson, Naomi and Frances.

Her family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 17, at the Mystic Funeral Home located on Route 1 in Mystic. A service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at the United Church of Stonington, 67 Main St. Burial will follow at the Elm Grove Cemetery in Mystic.
