Carol Gibb

Westerly — Carol A. (Paladino) Gibb, 66, beloved wife for 36 years of Brian H. Gibb, of Meadow Lark Drive, Westerly, passed away at Yale-New Haven Hospital on Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2017, after a long battle with cancer.

Born in Westerly, she was the daughter of the late David A. and Mildred C. Paladino. Carol was a former den mother and committee chairman of the Cub Scouts, Westerly Pack 10.

In addition to her husband, she leaves behind her son, David Gibb (Katie); and daughter, Melissa Todd (Ryan), both of Ashaway, R.I.; three stepchildren, Hope Gibb of Clinton, Shane Gibb (Michelle) of Gold Hill, N.C. and Shannon Wohlgemuth (Rory) of San Marcos, Calif. Carol is also survived by her sister, Connie Butler of Pawcatuck; seven grandchildren; two nephews and a niece.

Visiting hours will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly. Relatives and friends are also invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Matthias Church, 317 Chesterfield Road, East Lyme. There is no procession from the funeral home to church. Burial will be private.
