Daniel Rattell

New London — Daniel Joseph Rattell “Pops,” born Dec. 30, 1949, passed away Saturday, Nov. 4, 2017.

Dan was a very kind man who loved to make you laugh. He was an avid sports fan that included racing, the New York Yankees and Giants.

Dan or “Pops” as he was affectionately called, was predeceased by his parents, George and Helen; siblings and children, Larry, Barry, Sherry and Dan.

He leaves behind his children, Lori Rattell (his baby girl who was his heart and soul), Daniel Toce (his pride and sports advocate) and Robin Lamour (his peacekeeper and helper). He cherished his family above all; his grandsons, Brandon, Hunter and Michael; and his granddaughters, Shannah, Larissa, Ashley, Vanessa, Ariana and Kylie; and also his caregivers and friends, Bunny, Billy and his step-granddaughters, Shayna, Tashara, Karissa and his daughters-in-law, Kelly and Corrine and Lori’s boyfriend, Mark; siblings, nieces and nephews.

Pops, you were loved by so many and you will be missed tremendously. Daniel moves on to join his parents, siblings, children and the love of his life, Rachel Toce. Rest in peace and in love.

Services will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 16, at the Cornerstone Baptist Church, 900 Route 163, Oakdale.

In lieu of flowers, donations would be greatly appreciated for Dan’s final expenses.
