David Contino

Ledyard — David Joseph Contino of Ledyard passed away on Thursday, Jan. 4, 2018. He was born June 5, 1961, in New London, the son of the late Michele and Marie (Alger) Contino.

David graduated from Stonington High School in 1979, and worked as a master carpenter all his life alongside his father and brothers in Connecticut, as well as Texas and Florida. He was a past member of CT Home Builders Association. Davis was an avid Patriots fan. He also loved riding his Harley motorcycle, fishing with his brothers, and shooting pool in various leagues throughout the years. And he would never pass up a good bowl of ice cream.

David is survived by his beloved Beth, stepson Anthony Covino and fur baby Trixie. He also leaves to cherish his memory his brothers, Michael (Joyce) Contino and Rick (Deborah) Contino, and sister in-law, Kim Contino, his much loved nephews and nieces, Chris Metcalf, Dan Pont, Joshua Contino, Joseph Contino, Eric Morabito, Katie (Michael) Johnson, Jessie and Samantha Contino and Amanda Moore, and a host of other great nieces and nephews. Besides his mother and father, David was predeceased by his brother, Ronald Contino.

There will be no calling hours and burial will be private. All family and friends will be invited to celebrate David’s life later this year in honor of his wishes.
