Larry Holloway
New London — Larry Holloway, 58, of New London, died Friday, March 30, 2018, at his residence.
Mr. Holloway was born on July 4, 1959, in New London, the son of James and Mary (Barnes) Holloway. He was employed for many years at Connecticut College.
Larry was a loving son, brother, uncle, co-worker and friend who would give you the shirt off his back and was always willing to lend a helping hand to others. He could literally fix any electronic, appliance or automotive he came across earning him the name “Mr. Fix It.” He was also an avid fisher and dart thrower, winning several trophies. Our loved one will truly be missed.
Larry is survived by his mother, Mary Holloway; brothers, James E. Holloway and Robert L. Holloway; and sisters, Mary Holloway-Ramos, Cynthia A. Holloway, Brenda G. Holloway, Elizabeth M. Mayo and Yvonne C. Martin. He is predeceased by his sister, Fayette Holloway-Parker. He also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 14, 2018, at Connecticut College’s chapel. Calling hours will be held one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11 a.m., in the chapel. The interment ceremony will be private.
Fulton-Theroux Funeral Home in New London is handling the arrangements.
