ONLINE FEEDBACK

The Day - - OPINION -

Here are some of the online reader reactions to David Collins’ April 11 column, “Blumenthal shines in the national media spotlight,” in which Collins wrote that he was proud Sen. Blumenthal is such an outspoken and often-quoted critic of President Trump.

“Trump deserves what he gets. But, one has to wonder what Blumenthal would be investigating if Clinton had been elected. I'm guessing it wouldn't be her. That's why national politics is a mess.” — Dc.gths “This should have been published on April 1st.” — Waltertoo

“Someone please tell me what Skinny Dick has ever done? He is always criticizing, always going to investigate, going to issue an injunction, going to sue. When, pray tell, has he ever gone in front of his beloved cameras to announce results?” — Mama Bird “You are the reason we no longer get The Day.” — Reality

“Reality — If you no longer get The Day, then why are you reading this article and commenting on it?” — Dan

“While finding time for self-promoting media time with ‘Morning Joe’ and Mia, Senator Blumenthal cannot find the time to respond to the demand for given actions to combat the Heroin Epidemic forwarded to him by unanimous approval of the CT and NE Fire Chiefs Associations? You did a commendable work of investigative journalism regarding travesties of historic properties preservation in CT, Mr. Collins. How about upping your focus to the lack of preservation of our youth and society due to the Heroin Epidemic?” — Jim Spellman

“A true camera hound but effective. Never see the conclusion of things brought forward, just more questions. Time he starts paying more attention to Ct problems, which would keep him busy for eternity.” — Billd
