Old Lyme — Lillian Adeline Haglund died peacefully on Friday, July 6, 2018, in Old Lyme, surrounded by her loving family.

She is survived by R. Bror Haglund, her husband of 27 years; her sister, Joanne Armitage and husband, Michael; her four children and their spouses, Brian and Stephanie Routhier, Chuck and Jennifer Routhier, Christine and Peter Krumins, Carla Routhier; and 11 grandchild­ren.

She is predecease­d by her first husband, Claude L. Routhier, who passed away in early 2018.

Born in Berlin, N.H., on Nov. 25, 1936, she’s the daughter of the late Mary and Arthur Brunelle and graduated Berlin High School in 1954. She worked her entire life starting at Brown Paper Co. in Berlin after high school and retiring from Electric Boat in Groton in 1998.

An adventurou­s spirit, Lillian longed to live in New York. Instead, she traveled the world and spent her winters skiing with family and friends. She was energetic and loved life, with a song in her heart and a dance step at the ready. She was a loving mother, sister and wife, and will be greatly missed.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Lillian’s life at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, July 28, at Fulton-Theroux Funeral Home in Old Lyme, followed by Mass and luncheon at 11 a.m. at Christ the King Church, also in Old Lyme.

In lieu of flowers, we encourage donations to your local hospice organizati­on and the Parkinson’s Foundation.
