Lori Bushor
Spotsylvania, Va. — Lori (Lee) Bushor, 63, passed away at her home in Spotsylvania, on Friday, Sept. 14, 2018, with her husband by her side.
Lori died from complications associated with Alzheimer’s disease. She was born on Aug. 10, 1955, in New London, to Louise and Howard “Red” Lee Jr. Lori attended Western Connecticut State Collage and graduated with a bachelor of science degree in mathematics in 1978. She studied and was a patron of the ballet attending as many ballets as she could, favoring the Bolshoi, Kirov and Joffery dance troupes. Lori continued her love of dancing when she and her husband joined the Battlefield Boogie Club, which specializes in the Carolina beach SHAG dancing. She was also a lover of the Bichon Frise dog breed, having owned several throughout her life and as many as three at one time.
Lori worked as an analyst on several naval programs at several defense contractors in Connecticut and Rhode Island. She and her husband moved to Spotsylvania in 1994 and she continued her work on naval programs with a defense contractor at NSWC Dahlgren.
Survivors include her husband, Dennis Bushor; her brother, Ronald Francis Lee and his wife, Patricia Ann Lee; her nieces, Amy Louise Lee and Veronica Oddney Lee, all of Old Lyme.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Louise and Howard “Red” Lee Jr.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 8, at St. Matthew Catholic Church located at 8200 Robert East Lee Drive, Spotsylvania Courthouse, VA 22551.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that expressions of sympathy be in donations to the Alzheimer’s or hospice organizations.
