Georgetta Moreau

Montville — Georgetta J. (Minor) Moreau, 64, of Oakdale, passed away on Friday, Oct. 19, 2018.

She was born on Nov. 28, 1953, in Windber, Pa., to the late George and Elsie (Coleman) Minor.

Besides her loving husband, Jay; she is survived by a son, Bradley Moreau and his wife, Shannan, of Oakdale; a daughter, Melissa Moreau of Norwich; and grandchildren, Drew and Elsie Moreau.

She will be sadly missed by her brothers and sisters, Joann (Leo) Wirfel, George “Butch” (Janet Plummer), Ronald (Patricia Kosch), Marlin (Dolores Marsalko), Linda (Ronald) Snedden, Patricia (Bryce) Chernicky, Karen Oravecz, Kenneth Minor, Douglas (Irene Barbalish), Dianne (Joseph) Fox, Dennis (Tracie Skrout), Barry (Charlene Chernicky), and Brenda (John) Fox; and by numerous nieces and nephews. Georgetta is also survived by her motherin-law, Anna Jean Hughes; and her sisters-in-law, Cleda Bushwack and Linda (John) Haynes.

She is predeceased by her brother, Robert Minor.

Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Montville Funeral Home of Church and Allen, 53 Norwich New London Turnpike, Uncasville. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of the Lakes Church in Oakdale. She will be buried in Pennsylvania at a later date.
