Once again reminded of the value of The Day newspaper to our area

Reading the Nov. 30 issue of The Day I was reminded once again of the value of the local news coverage that this newspaper provides. Though there are many other sources for national news, I would be completely ignorant of some of these local issues were it not for The Day’s reporting.

Our community is lucky indeed to still have its own newspaper in these days when so many are going out of business. As one of those throwbacks who still enjoys having the print version in my hands with my morning coffee, I do hope that The Day will be able to survive for years to come. John Dreslin Stonington
