Trump went high, not so Democrats

-

Opinions of Steve Danenberg, Janice Parker and David Collins expressed Feb. 6 are typical of Democratic sheep blindly following shepherds Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Sen. Chuck Schumer, ignoring the best interest of our country for blatant political gain.

Steve claims President Trump’s massive ego and vile gut drive everything and mainstream media is permitting him to prevail. Really? Trump has been a media punching bag since his election and gave his ego a backseat in re-opening the government. Nasty Pelosi would still have 800,000 government employees out of work.

Parker chastises columnist Lee Elci for quoting $120 billion attributed annually to illegal immigration. She claims this comes from an organization characterized as a hate group. Could the “Democratic Party of Hate” provide a more realistic estimate? Doubtful. She also claims illegal immigrants are “arguably subsidizing U.S. citizens” by their Social Security contribution. Does anyone believe this could be within a light year of the expense 10-12 million illegals is costing the American taxpayer? She calls illegal immigrants law-abiding. How is law-abiding not contrary to illegal?

I would remind Trump-hater Collins of the celebrated Democratic mantra: “When they go low, we’ll go high.” Trump took the high road ending the shutdown. Let’s see if Pelosi, Schumer, Sen. Blumenthal and Sen. Murphy can slither to higher ground. Randall Pawlikowski Lisbon
