Is tycoon president above our laws?

The American tycoon Cornelius Vanderbilt, who died in 1877, thought himself an American king, borne out by one of his more infamous quotes. “What do I care about the law?” he'd said. “Ain't I got the power?”

Just wondering if I’m the only one who sees a parallel with the billionaire, king emulating American tycoon in the Oval Office?
