POLICE SAY MAN WAS CARRYING 110 BAGS OF CRACK COCAINE

Norwich — A wanted New York man, accused of violating his probation in connection with a 2008 drug-related arson in Norwich, was arrested Tuesday after police said they found him carrying 110 bags of crack cocaine.

John Greaves, 34, of Brooklyn, N.Y., was charged with possession of crack cocaine, possession of crack cocaine with the intent to sell, possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana with the intent to sell and violation of probation.

Police said Greaves was arrested at a traffic stop after they found him carrying the crack cocaine, $500 and marijuana.

Police said Greaves also was on federal probation for drug traffickin­g in Maine and was wanted for violation of probation in connection with a drug-related arson they say he committed in Norwich in 2008.

Held was held on a $350,000 cash bond.
