Pentatonix just HAS to do their “Evolution of Ariana Grande” mashup when they play Mohegan Sun on tonight, right?

That’s the Grammy-winning, 10-million-albums-selling a cappella group’s latest joyous, instrument-free version of a pop song — or, in this case, songs, plural. The five-person group touches on all of Ariana’s biggest hits, condensing a boffo career into five minutes of a cappella perfection. They offer their take on “Break Free,” “Dangerous Women” and “Thank U, Next,” among other tunes.

Beyond that, what numbers might Pentatonix cover? Perhaps “Havana”? “Sound of Silence”? “Bohemian Rhapsody”? Maybe, we’ll see.

Opening for Pentatonix is Rachel Platten, who had her own chart-toppers with “Fight Song” and “Stand By You,” and Citizen Queen. Pentatonix, 7:30 tonight, Mohegan Sun Arena; with Rachel Platten and Citizen Queen; $49, $69;
