Conn College women beat Endicott in OT

New London — The Connecticu­t College women's basketball team beat Endicott 61-59 in overtime in a nonleague game on Sunday.

Sami Ashton scored four of Conn's six points in overtime and assisted on Claire Gulbin's basket with 1:12 left in OT that snapped a 59-59 tie.

Ashton had 18 points and nine rebounds, Gulbin finished with 12 points and nine rebounds, Emily O'Sullivan had 10 rebounds and Molly Cronin came off the bench to score 10 points for the Camels (4-5). Kaleigh Putnam led Endicott (4-5) with 17 points.

Men's basketball

• Conn College lost to Division I Central Connecticu­t State 89-55, snapping CCSU's 18-game losing streak.

Ian Krishnan and Myles Baker scored 12 points each for CCSU (1-12). Ben McPherron led the Camels (3-6) with 13 points and teammates Jack Zimmerman (12) and Patrick Lazor (10) also scored in double figures.

College hockey

• Dartmouth scored the last three goals of the game to rally for a 4-3 win over UConn. Carter Turnbull had a pair of goals and Ruslan Iskhakov also scored for the Huskies (7-7-4). Vladislav Firstov, Harrison Rees and Benjamin Freeman had assists and Tomas Vomacka made 23 saves for UConn.

H.S. boys' basketball

• Fitch's Kyhol Kershaw had 12 points, 11 steals and seven rebounds as the Falcons rolled to a 58-44 win over Maloney in the championsh­ip game of the Fitch Holiday Tournament on Saturday night. Fitch (4-0) won its own tournament for the second straight year. Seamus Graves also had a double-double for the Falcons (10 points, 10 rebounds) while Tre Bryant finished with eight points and 15 rebounds.

H.S. wrestling

• Fitch went 1-4 at the Avon Duals on Saturday. The Falcons (3-4) beat Canton 48-24 and lost to Conard (4527), Bristol Central (52-27), Barlow (34-28) and Avon (54-28). Vincent Trento won five times at 182 pounds for Fitch and teammates Cameron Aldinger (152) and Greg Santora (195) won three matches each.
