Teresa Perry
New London — Teresa Ann Perry of New London, lovingly known as “Beba,” departed this life peacefully at home Feb. 20, 2021, surrounded by her family. She was born in New London to parents, Zelma Simonds Perry and Rhodia Perry.
She was employed at Electric Boat for 16 years and later at the Hampton Inn as kitchen manager, where she ran a friendly and tight ship. She was well-liked by guests and staff because of her professionalism and welcoming manner. Teresa loved shopping, shoes and jewelry, and was a “fashionista,” long before the term became popular. She enjoyed good music, fishing and spoiling her dog Coco.
Teresa was known for her sense of humor, nurturing spirit and her love and dedication to her daughter and grandchildren.
She leaves to cherish her memory daughter Tenisha Verdini (Keith); loving companion Riplyn Tolliver; three brothers, Albear Sheffield, Rhodia Perry III and Tracy Perry Sr.; two sisters, Yvonne Gibson and Rhonda Perry-Pettiford; five grandchildren: Yezenia Burgos, Yazmine Burgos, Keith Verdini Jr., Deyvon Verdini and Ariana Verdini; great-granddaughter Saphire Mann; lifelong best friend Deborah Carter; and a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Teresa was predeceased by her parents; and sister Charlene Perry-Turner.
Teresa’s dazzling smile and outgoing personality will be missed by all.
