Bumgardner driven to make city better

-

I encourage my friends and neighbors to join me and my family in supporting Aundré Bumgardner for Groton City mayor on Monday. When I publicly expressed concern about the loss of open space in my neighborhood as closed schools are being sold off for development, Aundré reached out to me on his own. He listened to my concerns about the loss of play space for children and the need for sidewalks to make the streets walkable. As a town councilor, he voted on behalf of the children in my neighborhood rather than the future residents the town is hoping to entice.

I have been concerned about the recent efforts to “rebrand” the City of Groton, as the plans seem to be more about molding the city to meet the needs of relocating out-of-towners rather than enhancing what is already great about this community. Aundré has progressive ideas that will benefit all city residents rather than a select few. His experience as a town councilor and state representative, along with his drive and dedication, will help bring his vision to fruition.

He is the only candidate who has called, sent emails, and knocked on our door to hear about what we hope to see moving forward. Aundrè has our vote.
