Michael Laccone

Waterford — Michael “Mickey” Laccone, 93, of Waterford passed away peacefully at home March 3, 2021, after a long illness. He was the son of the late John and Catherine Laccone.

He worked for United Nuclear in New Haven and Montville and Northeast Utilities at Millstone. Mickey was proud of his service in World War II.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Marie Vece Laccone; and brother Jack Laccone of East Haven. He was the beloved father of Donna Horne of California, Ceil Decker of Niantic and Michele Spellman of Rocky Hill. He was grateful to have Greg and Charlie as sons-in-law and was a loving grandfather to Ricky Milo and Michele Milo of California, Eric Decker of New Jersey, CJ Spellman and Victoria Spellman of Rocky Hill. He is also survived by his great-granddaughter, Violet Decker.

The family would like to thank the staff of Hospice at Hartford Healthcare and full-time caregivers Mary and Theresa.

Immediate family are invited at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 10, 2021, to meet directly at the office of All Saints Cemetery, 700 Middletown Ave., North Haven, for family members to follow in process for a graveside service (masks and social distancing required). In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice HHC.
