City of Groton GOP is sitting this one out

Voters in the City of Groton are aware there are two Democratic candidates (Mayor Keith Hedrick and primary winner Aundré Bumgardner) vying for mayor on May 3. For the record, the City of Groton Republican Committee is not involved and does not support, favor, or endorse in any way either individual candidate. Bumgardner's public statement that the City GOP is connected directly to Hedrick's campaign is false and misleading.

Cross-party political support is being received for both candidates, but the city committee of the Republican Party is not involved with either individual or with their campaigns.
