Jerry Skidgel

Jewett City — Jerry Howard Skidgel, 75, of Taylor Hill Road, McCluggage Manor, passed away April 11, 2021, at Hartford Hospital.

Jerry was born July 10, 1945, in Presque Isle, Maine, the son of the late Stanley and Veronica (Brooker) Skidgel.

He had worked in delivery and preparation at Domino’s Pizza.

He was an avid fisherman, loved to read books and travel. Above all else, his family was the most important to him.

He is survived by his children, Raymond Skidgel, Debra Skidgel, Bruce Skidgel and wife Lori, and Rhonda Stewart and husband Samuel; by his brothers, Wayne, Herman and Eugene Skidgel; sister Lorraine Wentworth; by many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and by Shannon Skidgel, whom he raised from a child.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Gaile (Bush) Skidgel; and by his brother Paul Skidgel.

A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 17, 2021, at Pachaug Cemetery in Griswold.
