Beginning Jan. 17, Lancer Hospitalit­y will be the primary food and beverage operator of the Mystic Seaport Museum grounds, a 19-acre destinatio­n with multiple on-site eateries and food outlets, as well as private dining and event spaces. Lancer will be catering events for the museum’s internal purposes, as well as its external corporate, group, and private events. The company will also manage weddings at the museum, at various locations including the Boat Shed at Lighthouse Point, the steamboat Sabino, and the Meeting House. Lancer will reopen the espresso bar in the Thompson Exhibition Building and will rebrand and the food and beverage experience with expanded evening hours. HONORS

Stephen Coan, CEO and president of Mystic Aquarium, and Stephan Ambrosch, owner of Deviant Donuts and Mangos Wood Fired Pizza, will be honored by Greater Mystic Chamber of Commerce with the 2020 Joyce Resnikoff Tourism Award. The event will be Dec. 2, 5-8:30 p.m. at the Velvet Mill in Stonington Borough.

This year’s GMCC’s Annual Party of 12 event will also feature the first ever 15 Over 50 Ballast Awards, acknowledg­ing those business icons over 50 years of age. The Ballast Awards will be presented to Mystic businesses representi­ng all categories.

The Westerly Community Credit Union will be collecting donations of new, unwrapped toys and selling $1 paper medallions through Nov. 30 to benefit the Minis Making A Difference charity. Donated toys will be accepted during regular business hours at all 4 WCCU branches in Westerly, Richmond and Wakefield. All toys and donations will benefit the following charities: Jonnycake Center of Westerly, Pawcatuck Neighborho­od Center, and Central Baptist Church of Westerly.

The Jonnycake Center of Westerly has been selected as the beneficiar­y of the Pawcatuck Stop & Shop’s “Bloomin’ 4 Good” program for the month of November 2021.

For every specially marked $10.99 bouquet sold at the Pawcatuck location (marked with a red circle sticker), the Jonnycake Center of Westerly’s Food Pantry and Social Services office will receive a $1 donation.
