Bozrah — Eleanor “Ellie” Coletti Sposato, formerly of Case Street, Norwich, passed away Monday, April 25,

2022, at Elmbrook Village at Bozrah.

Ellie was born

March 12, 1936, the daughter of the late Anthony and Susan Coletti.

On April 12, 1958, at the Cathedral of St. Patrick, she was united in marriage to Frank J. Sposato, who predecease­d her. Ellie joined the Southern New England Telephone company in 1954. She progressed through many positions during her 37 years with the company, her favorite being Training Instructor, Phone Center Store manager and Business Officer Manager.

After retiring from the telephone company, she went on to a second career of 20 years as a Community Liaison contact for the Bay View Nursing Home Facility in Waterford. During her demanding careers, Ellie was also actively involved in many community projects such as the Governor’s Committee to hire the disabled, Board Member for the Backus Hospital Auxiliary, Chairwoman of the Council on Educationa­l Opportunit­ies for the Telephone Pioneers of America Charter Oak Chapter, Women’s Auxiliary of the Franklin CT Volunteer Fire Dept., and the Democratic Town Committee. She also served as a Justice of the Peace. Ellie was predecease­d by three brothers, Larry, Vincent and Carmen Coletti.

She is survived by two brothers, Alfred of Plainfield and Anthony Coletti of San Diego, Calif.; several nieces and nephews, their children, and many, many lifelong friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, May 2, at the Cathedral of St. Patrick, 213 Broadway, Norwich, with Interment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. The family respectful­ly asks that all in attendance to please wear face coverings. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the donor’s favorite charity.
