East Lyme girls complete perfect ECC Div. I track season

Woodstock — The East Lyme girls' track & field team finished unbeaten in Eastern Connecticu­t Conference Division pI meets, topping Woodstock Academy 90-60 on Thursday.

Lauren Hinckley won a pair of events for the Vikings (3-0, 3-0), taking the 100 meters (13.04) and long jump (15 feet, 8 inches). Ava Pitruzzell­o, Isabella Paggioli, Savannah Soleau, Hailey DeNucci, Grace Blackwood, Lacey-Lee Keramidas and Jayla Washington also won events for East Lyme. Linsey Arends and Juliet Allard won two events each for Woodstock.

In other meets:

• Griswold's Taylor Bialowas won two events but the Wolverines lost to Windham 85-43 in an ECC Division III meet on Wednesday. Bialowas won the 100 (13.14) and long jump (15-5) and Sydney Hart won the shot put for Griswold (0-3, 0-3). Resia Baran won four events and Kyleigh Miller won three events for Windham.

Boys' tennis

• Ledyard clinched the ECC Division II title with a 7-0 win over New London. Julian Mileski, Matt Bourguigno­n, Damion DePaul and Reese Yaras won in singles for the Colonels (7-2, 5-0).

Girls' tennis

• Sarah Hage won No. 1 singles as Waterford defeated Fitch 4-3 in an ECC Division I match. Autumn Brothers also won in singles for the Lancers (5-4, 3-2). Maddie Beaulieau and Fiza Shariff won in singles for the Falcons (5-4, 1-4).

H.S. boys' track

• Shawn Henning won three events as East Lyme beat Woodstock Academy 100-49 in an ECC Division I meet. Henning won the 100 (11.8), 200 (23.8) and triple jump (39-4). Blake Harris won the 110 hurdles (17.8) and300 hurdles (43.7) and Nick Vogel won the high jump (5-6) and pole vault (11-6) for East Lyme. Also winning events for the Vikings were Lucas DeNucci, Brendan Fant, Sean McCauley, Thomas Matlock, Chris Munzner and Callaway Scott.

• Griswold remained unbeaten with a 97-53 win over Windham in an ECC Division III meet on Wednesday. Ryan Pelillo, Michael Strain and Anthony Gaeta were double winners for the Wolverines (3-0, 3-0). Pelillo won the 100 hurdles (17.07) and 300 hurdles (45.75), Strain won the 800 (2:03.51) and 1600 (4:45.63) and Gaeta won the pole vault (8-6) and discus (139-05). Jackson Collins, Evan Merchant, Dan Sims and Logan Benoit also won events for Griswold. Jayden Villafane of Windham won the long jump (20-0), triple jump (41-07) and the 100 (11.60).

H.S. Golf

• Max Weston shot 39 as Norwich Free Academy defeated Fitch 6-1 in an ECC Division I match at Norwich Golf Course. NFA is 6-2, 3-0. Medalist Nate McCormack shot 37 for Fitch (35, 0-3).

• Medalist Jeremiah Soto led Wilcox Tech to a 201-217 win over Grasso Tech in the Connecticu­t Technical Conference. Norman Maranda shot a team-best 50 for Grasso, who earned a split by defeating Goodwin Tech 217-235. The Eagles are 2-8, 2-7).

• Pat Flanagan shot 40 as Old Lyme defeated Coginchaug 183-210 in a Shoreline Conference match at Black Hall Club. Andrew Hedberg also shot 43 for the Wildcats (1-7, 1-7).

• Cameron Conway shot 41 as Wheeler defeated Tourtellot­te 176226 in an ECC Division IV match at at Stonington Country Club. Kieran Boscoe shot 42 for Wheeler (6-3, 2-0).

• Medalist Owen Lanuza shot 38 as Waterford defeated Stonington 7-0 in an ECC Division II match at Great Neck Country Club. Drew Zanghetti shot 39 for the Lancers (5-4, 2-2). Stonington is 4-6, 2-1.

Girls' golf

• Hand and Norwich Free Academy halved at 228. Medalist Lila Sullivan shot 52 for Hand and Keira Kotula shot 55 for NFA (4-0-1).
