Cheryl St. Martin

-

Waterford — It is with sorrow we announce that Cheryl Ann St. Martin passed away peacefully May 3, 2022, four days before her 77th birthday. Born May 7, 1945, in Brooklyn, N.Y., Cheryl was the daughter of Joseph St. Martin and Eleanor Cook St. Martin. In 1953, Cheryl and her family moved to Waterford, where she became a lifelong resident.

Cheryl was a 1963 graduate of Waterford High School, one of the earliest graduating classes of this newly built school, and was emblematic of this very spirited class. Cheryl was well liked and remained friends with many of her classmates. Following graduation, Cheryl began work at the Lombardi Egg Farm in Waterford. She then waitressed for several years before starting her own cleaning business.

Cheryl was family oriented and a very loving and caring person. This was self-evident by the way she interacted with her family and friends. She loved country dancing and music, but most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren and family.

Cheryl is survived by her daughter Denise (Kent) Lombardi Lovelace and her son John Lombardi III, who blessed their mother with five beautiful grandchildren: Jacob and Riley Lovelace and Kylie, Paige and Hayden Lombardi. She is also survived by her brother Jean (Andrea) St. Martin; her sister Nannette

St. Martin Enos; her niece Nicole Enos Quito; and her nephew Sean St. Martin.

The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Fairview Nursing Home in Groton, for their outstanding care over the last three years.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association, 200 Executive Boulevard Studio 4b, Southington, CT 06489.

A Celebration of Life service will be held with calling hours from 9:30 to 11:30 and service at 11:30 the morning of May 27, at the Impellitteri-Malia Funeral Home on Montauk Avenue, New London.
