Waterford — Joseph R. “Joe” Brennan of Waterford passed away unexpectedly May 13, 2022. Joe was born Feb. 8, 1965, in New London.

Joe grew up in Pleasure Beach where he made lifelong friends. He attended Waterford High School, and then joined the United States Army where he proudly served. Throughout his life, Joe had many jobs, making friends wherever he went, but the job he always came back to was landscaping. Joe worked for Eastern Connecticut Lawncare with his best friend, whom he considered his brother, Adam Sandora.

Joe is predeceased by his parents, Stephanie Brennan and Bruce Brennan; his grandmother Julia “Nana” Patterson; and his aunt Christine Wilson. Joe is survived by his daughter Kacie Nicole Brennan; his brother Scott and his family (Traci, Trent, Tate and Trey Brennan); his brother Daniel Brennan; his cousin, whom he made his home with, Rachel Broadwell and her son Zach; his aunt and uncle Tom and Arline Graziosi, all of Waterford; his cousin Cheryl Lindholm and her children of Norwich; cousin Jeremy Wilson of Niantic and; Rob and Angie Gibson of Marshall, Texas; and the boys of P.B . ... You know who you are! He loved you all.

The simple pleasures in life were not lost on Joe, a good meal with family and friends, a ride on his Harley or a heated discussion about football, but most definitely the beauty of a sunset at his beloved Pleasure Beach. These are some of the things he loved. Joe knew what was most important in life — family, friends, service to his country and most importantly, his daughter Kacie. At this time the family would like their privacy to mourn.

“We’ll see ya later, Joe. We all love you.”
