Waterford Lincoln Hoffa

— Lincoln A. Hoffa, 82, of Waterford, entered eternal life May 19, 2022 in the company of his loving family. He was born Dec. 5, 1939, in Temple, Pa., the son of the late Ralph and Evelyn (Fox) Hoffa.

He attended local schools in Pennsylvan­ia, and after graduating from high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy. After serving, he was honorably discharged. He was united in marriage, to the former Mary Rossi on Aug. 3, 1965. in New London. Mary survives him after nearly 57 years of devotion. Mr. Hoffa retired from Pfizer Company after 35 years as chemical operator in fermentati­on.

A loving husband, father, grandfathe­r and friend, he was loved and respected by all. He was an avid sportsman, belonging to the Quaker Hill Rod & Gun Club where he enthusiast­ically shot skeet. He enjoyed hunting all types of game, bowling, golfing and was a former member of Shennecoss­ett Golf Course.

In addition to his beloved wife Mary, he is survived by three children, Tommie and wife Karen of Massachuse­tts, Tami Hoffa and Todd Hoffa both of Waterford; four grandchild­ren: Arianna, Anthony, Gino and Brianne; three siblings, Donald and William Hoffa and Linda Stichter all of Pennsylvan­ia. He was predecease­d two sisters, Sandra Mills and Mary Jane Hoffa.

His family will receive relatives and friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 25, at the Impellitte­ri-Malia Funeral Home, 84 Montauk Avenue, New London. A Mass and Interment with military honors will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Leukemia Society, P.O. Box 22324, New York, NY 10087.
