Robert Thompson

Montville — Robert Russell Thompson, 84, of Uncasville passed away unexpectedly June 16, 2022, in New Jersey while on vacation with his family.

He was born Jan. 16, 1938, in Boston, Mass., the son of the late Russell and Maxine (Dyer) Thompson. He was the beloved husband of Eleanor “Elly” Thompson, who survives him.

His family will receive relatives and friends for a memorial gathering from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, July 11, 2022, at the Impellitteri-Malia Funeral Home, 84 Montauk Ave., New London. A complete obituary will appear in Wednesday’s edition of The Day.
