East Lyme — Thomas Thornton Peck, 58, passed away Thursday, Jan. 5, 2023, at Lawrence + Memorial Hospital, surrounded by his family.

He was born in Libby, Mont., on Aug. 13, 1964, son of Donald and Sallie (Randolph) Peck of Warwick, R.I.

Tom graduated in 1982 from Pilgrim High School; he attended Quinnipiac University, where he met the love of his life, Brenda.

Tom started his career at Millstone Nuclear Power Plant with Stone and Webster, before moving on to work for Washington group and AECOM as a safety director.

Tom was united in marriage to Brenda Church on April 28, 1990. He was a devoted father to Jennifer and Thomas who will miss him dearly.

An avid sportsman, Tom played youth baseball and hockey up until his college years. He played hockey for Quinnipiac University. He loved sports fishing and never gave up the opportunit­y to see his favorite sports teams compete whether it be Red Sox baseball, New England Patriots, Notre Dame football or NASCAR.

What Tom loved most was spending time with his family and friends. He loved to entertain and was often found in the kitchen whipping up something special. He loved to travel with family. Many precious memories were made while spending time with extended family during trips to Vermont, Cape Cod, Calabash, N.C., and Disney World.

In addition to his parents, Don and Sallie Peck, Tom leaves behind his wife, Brenda; and their children, Jennifer and Thomas of East Lyme; his sister-in-law Diane Occhialini and her husband, Tom, of Oakdale; his brother-in-law Raymond Church and his wife, Lisa, of Smithfield, R.I.; his nieces and nephews, Charlie Peck, Patrick and Sarah Monahan, Connor and Cole Occhialini, John, Isabella, Eva and Joseph Church; and his father and mother-in-law, Raymond and Stephanie Church of East Lyme. He was predecease­d by his brother, Alan Peck; and brother-in-law Dennis Monahan Jr.

Funeral services were private. Arrangemen­ts were in the care of Impellitie­ri-Malia Funeral Home, 84 Montauk Ave., New London.
