Tiff Pescatello

-

Salem — Tiff Pescatello was born June 23, 1963, in New London, to Tufonio P. Pescatello and Roberta (Ward) Pescatello. Tiff attended Salem schools and Norwich Free Academy.

Tiff went on to a career in welding, including over two decades with Electric Boat/ General Dynamics, in Groton.

Tiff had an affinity for fast machines, having rebuilt and maintained several muscle cars over the years. Another passion was Tiff’s love for playing the guitar, shredding riffs to the likes of Nugent, Satriani and Rhoades. Tiff also had a love for animals to include his dog, Alex, and Tory, his domestic ferret.

Tiff was predeceased by his father Tufonio P. Pescatello; and his mother Roberta (Ward) Pescatello, of Salem. Tiff is survived by his sisters, Lynn Stern and Kay Nixon (and Jeffrey) of Ledyard. Carrying on Tiff’s love for life are his five nieces and nephews: Matthew, Lauren, Kelsey, Mitchell and Rueger; and 10 great-nieces and great-nephews: Savannah, Emilia, Carmine, Dominic, Braylyn, Talan, Gabriella, Alick, Felicity and Aria.

Tiff’s life was taken away far too soon as the victim of an evading motor vehicle accident in Prince George, Va., on Jan. 9, 2023.

Tiff’s family wishes to extend a most heartfelt thank you to the members of the Prince George Police Department and caring citizens of the Prince George community, and to all Tiff’s friends and family. Live each day to the fullest; for the future is never guaranteed.

Internment services are private. Those wishing to honor Tiff’s memory are asked to consider a donation to the Connecticut Humane Society (cthumane.org), or the CT Chapter of Protectors of Animals (poainc.org), both endearing to Tiff’s legacy.
