— Norman I. Gauthier, 65, of Oakdale, passed away at home Saturday, Feb. 4, 2023. He is survived by his wife, Sally A. Gauthier, to whom he was married for

20 years. Born in Norwich, he was the son of the late

Irving Gauthier of Oakdale and the late Elizabeth Bagley of Carolina, R.I. He attended schools in Montville and East Lyme before graduating from Chariho High School Class of 1975.

Besides his wife, Norman leaves behind two stepdaught­ers, Holly Winsor-Crowley (Patrick) of Rockland, Mass., and Michele Aiello (Michael) of Charlestow­n, R.I.; three grandchild­ren, Cooper Aiello, Tessa Aiello and Dylan Crowley. He will be sadly missed by his beloved cats, Buddy and Bandit, and his many friends, especially the Saturday Night Dinner Club. Norman is also survived by brothers, Robert Gauthier (Connie) of Niantic, Larry Bagley (Laurie) of Stonington; and sister Patty White (Brett) of Chesapeake, Va.; as well as many nieces and nephews. Norman was predecease­d by his brother Joseph Gauthier.

Norman was last employed by Thomas G. Faria Corp in Uncasville, before retiring due to health issues. He was a past member of the Westerly Recreation Board and had previously been employed by American Power Conversion, Bradford Dye, Imperial Wallpaper and Charberts. Norman was an avid NASCAR, New York Yankees, and Green Bay Packers fan. His favorite pastime was taking pictures of his grandchild­ren at their sporting events.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 13, at the Woyasz & Son Funeral Home, 11 Jerome Rd, Uncasville, burial will follow at Union Cemetery. Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 12, at the funeral home.
