Voluntown — Daniel Lamphere, 57, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2023. He was born Nov. 15, 1966, in Ledyard, the son of Bradley Lamphere and Rita Lamphere.

Dan worked for many years in Plainfield at Stephen Motors, recently retiring. He was a master mechanic who could fix anything.

He leaves behind a brother, Bradley Lamphere Jr. of Groton; aunt Harriet Oddo of Mystic; uncle William Lamphere of North Stonington; many nephews and nieces; and his cat Augie.

There will be a celebratio­n of life at noon Sunday, March 5, at the Jewett City VFW, 263 Taylor Hill Road, Jewett City.

Surviving are her husband, John; her children, John R. Mulligan Jr., Michael (Lisa) Mulligan, and Patricia (Jan) Firszt; her grandchild­ren, Caitlin (Stephen) Dombrowski, Kimberly Mulligan, Maggie Rose Mulligan, Michael John Mulligan, Conor Mulligan and Anya Firszt; and her great-grandchild­ren, Victoria, Reagan and Nathaniel.

All are invited to join the family for a gathering from

5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 26, 2023, at Thomas L. Neilan & Sons East Lyme Funeral Home, 48 Grand St., Niantic.

There will be an additional period of gathering from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 27, 2023, Gigi’s birthday, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11 a.m. in St. Agnes Catholic Church, 22 Haigh Ave., Niantic. All are welcome to attend. Interment will be private.
