Stephen Brynn

Colchester — Stephen Douglas Brynn, 59, of Colchester, passed away Wednesday morning May 17, 2023.

Steve was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend. Steve was an honorary uncle to many and was deeply loved by his family and friends.

Steve was born May 30, 1963, in Greenbelt, Md., to Soeren Stewart Brynn and Lorene Leander Brynn. He was a brother to Leif Brynn and Caroline Whittaker. Steve enjoyed serving his church community and welcoming its members and guests to Sunday services. He spent over 35 years as a land surveyor and was an incredibly hard worker, a loyal employee, and started each day with a smile.

Steve kept a steady happiness and joyful spirit no matter the circumstance. He will be remembered for his deep love for his family, his amazing work ethic, his welcoming spirit, his contagious smile and laughter, his jokes, his pure heart, his selflessness, his ability to find joy in the little things, his fun-loving attitude, and his love for the Lord.

Steve was an exceptional son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend. He leaves behind a legacy with his family. Steve is remembered by his mother Lori Brynn; his brother Leif and sister-in-law Dedra Brynn; his sister Caroline and brother-in-law Mike Whittaker; his nieces and nephews: Sydney and Ethan Moyer, and Mason, Mady, and Morgun Whittaker; his great-nieces Owen and Bailey Moyer; and his friends. He was preceded in death by his father Soeren Brynn.

We know that Steve is with Jesus, but we will miss him every day until we get to see him again. Please join us for a celebration of Steve’s life at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 30, on what would have been his 60th birthday at the Groton Bible Chapel, 66 Toll Gate Road in Groton.
