COMO HOSTING INDOOR PICKLEBALL DEC. 18
The Stonington Community Center will be offering indoor pickleball starting Monday, Dec. 18.
The sport, rising in popularity, weaves together elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis. And now there are two indoor pickleball courts in the COMO gymnasium, with permanent lines and portable nets.

CAPPELLA CANTORUM REGISTRATION JAN. 8
Registration for the spring semester of Cappella Cantorum Masterworks Chorus will take place at 7 p.m. on Jan. 8 at the Deep River Congregational Church (1 Church St., Deep River), with the first rehearsal immediately following at 7:30 p.m.
This semester’s music will feature “The Peacemakers” by Karl Jenkins, and culminates with a concert in April.
Auditions are not required. All singers age 13 and up are welcome. Pre-registration and music are now available online at cappellacantorum.org.
‘TACKLING BIG DECISIONS’ TALK JAN. 9
On Tuesday, Jan. 9, the Women’s Fellowship of Mystic Congregational Church presents “Tackling Big Decisions” featuring a panel of women: Susan Pochal, an attorney who specializes in estate and tax planning plus probate and elder law; Clare Sheridan, a financial adviser; and Ann Bergendahl, a realtor.
Tea will be offered at 9:15 a.m. and the program starts at 10. The event, at 43 E. Main St., Mystic, is free and open to the public. For information, call (860) 536-4259.
