Mitchell falls to Elms in men’s lacrosse

New London — Mitchell College lost to Elms 15-5 in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference men’s lacrosse game Saturday.

Jon Parra-Tobey of New London scored two goals and Weston Schumacher and Dylan Kinsella had a goal and an assist each for the Mariners. Stonington’s Joseph Hayes had a goal and Montville’s Raphael Vogt had an assist for Mitchell (0-3, 0-2). Luciano Jordan Canino scored seven goals for Elms.

In other games:

• Coast Guard lost to Wheaton 10-4 in a New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference game. Matt Lubin had a goal and an assist, Ryan Hunter, Van Buhrman and Jake Chambers had goals, and Evan Granahan had an assist for the Bears (1-6, 0-2).

• No. 19 Middlebury scored four unanswered goals in the final nine minutes to beat Conn College 14-10 on Friday night in a New England Small College Athletic Conference game. Liam Horkan scored three goals for the third straight game, Bobby Chang and Patrick Atkins had two goals and an assist each and Will Rice made 18 saves for the Camels (1-4, 0-4).

Women’s lacrosse

Coast Guard lost to MIT 8-5 in a NEWMAC game. Caitlyn Coates scored four goals to lead the Bears and Abby McAllister had a goal and two assists and Kira Howard and Sarah Skurat had assists for Coast Guard (5-3, 0-2).

Women’s tennis

• Conn College lost to Bates 7-2 in a NESCAC match at Luce Field House. The doubles teams of Caitlin Cass-Lily Kerachsky and Sana Bhat-Mary Ella Prendergas­t won for the Camels (5-5, 0-3).

Men’s tennis

• Conn College beat Bates 5-4 in a NESCAC match on Friday. Gavin Anderson won at No. 6 singles, 2-6, 6-4, 6-4, to secure the win for the Camels (8-3, 1-3).
