Mystic — Linda (Meagher) Perkins, of Mystic, passed away after a battle with cancer at home on March 25, 2024. She is survived by her husband Robert, to whom she was married for 45 years.

Born in Hartford on March 8, 1949, daughter of the late Lorraine (Connors) Gunning and Edward Meagher, she graduated from Mount St. Joseph Academy in West Hartford and spent her career working as a secretary for many years at Davis-Standard in Pawcatuck, until her retirement.

A longtime resident of Noank, Linda was a devout communican­t of St. Mary, Mother of the Redeemer Church in Groton, where she was a member of the Ladies Guild and an active volunteer in her community. For many years, she looked forward to her monthly book club gatherings with her friends.

In addition to her husband, Linda leaves behind two stepdaught­ers, Paige Tersavich, her daughter Shelby and fiancé Gennadiy and son Kenny, and Montene Wheeler and her son Chase. She is also survived by her beloved nieces, Elizabeth Meagher and her children, Ciara and Owen Jalbert; and Ellen and her husband Greg Blomberg and their sons, Roger and Neil. Linda had very close friends in Patty, Jayne and Neil, Bill and Carol, Jane and Steve, and Dee and Ted. Besides her parents, Linda was predecease­d by her brother David Meagher; her stepfather Thomas Gunning; and stepson Rob Perkins.

Linda was liked by all and would do anything for anybody. She will be deeply missed.

A service for Linda will be held at noon on Tuesday, April 2, at the Mystic Funeral Home located on Route 1 in Mystic. Her burial will follow the service at the Elm Grove Cemetery in Mystic. The family will receive relatives and friends starting at 10:30 a.m. up until the time of the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
