Old Lyme tops HK 1-0 in Shoreline Conference

Griswold gets past Montville in ECC Division III matchup

Haddam — Emma Bayor pitched a four-hitter with 14 strikeouts as Old Lyme beat Haddam-Killingwor­th 1-0 in a Shoreline Conference game on Monday.

Sybil Neary tripled and scored on a sacrifice fly by Erin Durant. Old Lyme (5-1) is 5-0 in the Shoreline. HK is 8-2, 7-2.

In other games:

• Abby Matheson pitched a five-hitter with 11 strikeouts as Griswold beat Montville 5-4 in an Eastern Connecticu­t Conference Division III game.

Kierra Neilson had a two-run double in the third inning to give the Wolverines (6-2, 2-1) a 3-0 lead and Cam Williams and Matheson each had a single, double and scored a run.

Izzy Mitchell had two hits, including an RBI triple, for Montville (6-3, 1-2).

• Stonington beat St. Bernard 9-5 in an ECC Division III game to stay unbeaten.

Cami Brown, Bri Plew, Gracelyn Smith and Chloe Miner had two hits each for the Bears (9-0, 4-0). Miner (homer) and Plew drove in two runs each. Aubrey Nygaard was 3-for-5 with a double and Angelica Tompkins drove in two runs for the Saints (3-3, 1-2).

• Maegan Miller and Faith Dalton had three hits each as Ledyard beat Norwich Tech 11-3. Lexi Lemmon pitched a two-hitter for the Colonels (5-2) with six strikeouts and no walks in four innings.

• Isabella Deledda was 4-for-4 as Wheeler beat Bacon Academy 10-9. Deledda hit her first career home run, doubled and scored three runs.

Winning pitcher Reese Main was 3-for-4 with a double and Abby Butremovic, Addie Stanley and Leah Cleary had two hits each for the Lions (4-1).

• Gabby Fontaine had four of Waterford's 22 hits as the Lancers beat Woodstock 18-0 in five innings in an ECC Division I game.

Winning pitcher Brielle Kenney, Charlotte Jessuck and Melanie Martin had three hits each for Waterford (8-2, 4-0).

Emilia Podeszwa hit a three-run homer and had four RBI, Martin drove in four runs and Kenney had two doubles, a triple and three RBI.
