MONSTERS UNIVERSITY: MAGNA CUM LAUGHTER

- By Sophia Khan, 10, a CK Reporter from Northglenn

Mike Wazowski ( voiced by Billy Crystal) has been waiting all his life to enroll at Monsters University.

Now, he wants to prove to everyone that he does belong in the scaring world.

Mike has everything planned out – he even has a list!

Suddenly, his world is turned upside down when James P. Sullivan (John Goodman) gets them both kicked out of their Scaring 101 class.

The members of the Oozma Kappa fraternity were also kicked out of their Scaring 101 class because everyone thought they were not cut out for scaring.

To prove themselves, Mike and Sully make a bet with Dean Hardscrabble (Helen Mirren) who was the one who kicked them both out of the class:

If Mike, Sully, and the entire Oozma Kappa team win the annual Scaring Games, they all get to rejoin the Scaring 101 class.

However, if they lose the Scaring Games, they must leave Monsters University.

So, get ready to put on your scaring face when you see Monsters University!

Monsters University is a prequel to Monsters Inc., set 10 years earlier, before Mike and Sully knew each other.

This movie is full of colors, imagination, surprises, and scariness. This movie is also filled with humor!

In the first 5 minutes, the movie had the entire audience shaking with laughter.

One of my favorite parts of the film is how unique each monster is, how each is filled with charisma, colors, spunkiness, and most important of all, scariness!

This is a movie about friendship, teamwork, and trust.

“Monster University” is a little long at 110 minutes, but I would still recommend this movie for monsters of all ages.
