BUSH TO MAKE DECISION ON BID THIS YEAR

washington Jeb Bush says the speculatio­n about whether he’ll run for president in 2016 is getting him more attention than if he had already entered the race. The former Republican governor of Florida said that’s not by design and that he’ll make his decision before year’s end.

He told Fox News Channel in an interview airing Sunday that the state of politics is “crazy right now.”

Bush said one factor in his decision will be whether he can deliver an optimistic, hopeful message without getting drawn into a “mud fight.” He said the other main factor in his decision will be whether it’s OK with his family if he ran.

Israel, Palestinia­ns want to continue talks

Navy rescues family with sick baby

san diego » U.S. sailors rescued an American family with an ill 1-year-old from a sailboat that broke down hundreds of miles off theMexican coast— boarding them Sunday onto a San Diego-bound Navy ship so the girl could get treatment.

The baby, Lyra, was in stable condition at 8 a.m. Sunday when sailors helped bring her, her 3year-old sister, Cora, and her parents, Charlotte and Eric Kaufman, aboard the USS Vandegrift.

Investigat­ors were trying to determine the cause of Friday’s accident, which sent a car with five people inside tumbling into a creek on a deadend street in Queens. The only survivor was the 20-year-old driver.
