Thanks to the Aurora Public Library’s latest offer, you can now check out a Denver Museum of Nature & Science Family Plus Membership card— just like a book or DVD. The card may be checked out for one week and allows up to seven people free entry to themuseum. Plus, it includes all other museum membership benefits, namely, shop, restaurant, IMAX, planetarium and special exhibit discounts. Like other popular librarymaterials, youmay “reserve” the pass at the Aurora Central, Martin Luther King Jr. and Mission Viejo library branches or Hoffman Heights Computer Center. Don’t have a library card? Any Coloradan can get one at an Aurora Library branch. You’ll need a valid picture ID and proof you’re a Colorado resident. auroralibrary.org

When you open a book, you open your mind. And it’s so important to get little ones hooked early on the love of reading to spark a lifelong passion. One Book 4 Colorado does just that by giving preschoolers a brand-new book, and it won’t cost you a penny. Through April 21, any Colorado 4year-old can receive his or her very own free copy of “Grumpy Bird.” More than 75,000 copies in English or Spanish are available statewide at public libraries, Denver Preschool Program preschools and Reach Out & Read Colorado health clinics.
