Smokin’ shows all around 4/20 holiday

Every day is 4 /20 for 2 Chainz. Weed has been an integral part of the Southern rapper’s lifestyle since he was growing up in College Park, Ga.

“It’s a part of me. You know, it might be a celebration for someone who doesn’t understand what it means,” said 2 Chainz, as he smoked a joint while on the phone with The Denver Post last week. “Some people can get into something and be so engulfed in it that it can take over their lives. That’s not me. I’m a natural user.”

With a daily renewal of his relationship with cannabis, 2 Chainz doesn’t see the need to dedicate one day of the year to smoking marijuana. Artists don’t need to be Instagraming every joint, or sending out tweets at 4:20 p.m., 2 Chainz said.

But he’s still looking forward to celebrating the plant with Snoop Dogg and A$AP Rocky at Fiddler’s Green Amphitheatre on April 20.

Some people might not have the luxury of being able to smoke or afford weed on a daily basis, and for those people, 2 Chainz said he wants to make 4 /20 memorable.
